Lieutenant Colonel Kapil Dev Nikhanj

LT COLONEL Kapil Dev Nikhanj, this is how Kapil is going to be addressed from now onwards. Kapil, the famous cricketer from Haryana, who led India to the single world cup victory in 1983 has been commissioned as an honorary lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army (TA). Kapil was inducted into the 150 TA (Infantry) battalion of the Punjab Regiment in a ceremony held on September 24, at the army headquarters.
Now Kapil will be affiliated with the Delhi-based 150 TA (Punjab) Battalion under the western command. Army chief, General Deepak Kapoor piped the badges of rank on Kapil’s proud shoulders at the ceremony in the army headquarters in the presence of TA additional director general major general KVS Lalotra.
Kapil appeared in oliver green uniform and his conduct was like that of a true army man. Kapil looked great in his uniform and accepted the commissioning, coming to attention and smartly saluting, as perfectly as any professional army officer would do. After being commissioned for the honorary post, Kapil said, “This is my second innings. Earlier, I used to fight for the country in my white uniform and now I will do the same in this green army uniform.”
Kapil, as a lieutenant colonel, would definitely turn out to be a role model for the army personnel and his induction in TA would be a moral booster for officers and troops to see a noted personality associated with them. An army officer said, “If he visits troops in the field, he would be wearing a uniform and it would have an inspiring impact on the rank and file.”
We all hope that Kapil turns out to be a encouraging factor for the youth of the country and performs his best in the capacity of an ambassador for the forces. Way to go lieutenant colonel Kapil Dev Nikhanj!

10 point program

I am in love. I am in deep love & very soon I would be getting married. I was a bit worried on how well I would gel with my wife, even if it’s a love marriage. A lot of thinking went into this process. I would think on this all the night. After a lot of thinking I have come to a 10 point program which I think will be effective not only to me but to all.
1. Love each other immensely.
2. Show interest in each other’s thoughts and feelings.
3. Trust your partner.
4. Share your joys and sorrows. Let your partner know when you are delighted or feel sad.
5. Show affection by touching each other, giving gifts, or saying something thoughtful.
6. Accept and respect each other’s feelings, even when you don’t agree with the other’s point of view.
7. Express gratitude and display pride in one another.
8. Be understanding even when you fight. Do not shout at each other or hold grudges. Instead try to sort out the problem amicably on a good note.
9. Have fun together. Joke around, tease each other or play games together. Have good sex and go on holidays together.
10. Out of sight can be out of mind. So call your partner to ask how things are going.

Thank you Orkut.

Orkut has been recognized as the 'next bad thing that has happened to the youth of today' by most of the newspapers.
I find serious flaws in that. A knife can cut a fruit, the same knife can cut a throat too. It's not what the knife is doing but it's the intention of the person holding it in his/her hand.
Orkut, to me, brought back friends from school - who had moved out and were out of touch. When you see the person's profile, read about him/her, go through the album, you remember your old long lost school days.
Orkut set the background for our school reunion. It was at an orkut community that people thought of the reunion.
Orkut brings together people with similar tastes. Whether this shared interest is in any field. Be it branding, dating or anything else under the sun.
I am grateful to Orkut for all this.
Thank you Orkut.

Condom Ringtone
It can be heard at www.condomcondom.org.
Although I have downloaded the ringtone, I don’t think I would be using this ringtone. Imagine, I am at a meeting with my client discussing on some serious stuff , and suddenly my phone rings, reminding them to use condom!!
Unbelievable!!!!
To regain lost trust.................
I find the advert a very good example of creativity to regain the trust which has been lost.

Farewell..........

Living up to his reputation of ‘vignaharta’, Lord Ganesh ensured that his final journey went off smoothly amid tight security. Over a million Mumbaikars braved heavy rains and terror threats to bid adieu to their favourite elephant-headed God.
A word of praise for the Mumbai Traffic Police …. once again the men in Khaki, kept the traffic unjammed, ensured that no one got stuck…. and all in all the good humour and cheer was maintained.
PUDHCHYA VARSHI LAVKAR YA!!
