Happy Holi.....

The Cancer Man

A Cancer man will come across as an extremely shy person, who speaks less and minds his own business. He is not one of those who tell everything about themselves in the first meeting itself. Infact, it will take a large number of meetings to get even a little close to him. Cancerian male may seem to a different person every time you meet him. He may be nervous and fickle one moment; extremely confident the second minute and too shy the very next. His frown can easily turn, first, into smile and then, into a laugh.

A Cancerian guy may get sad and melancholic at times and then, you will feel like putting your arms around him and comforting him. Then, suddenly his wistfulness will vanish and he will be sparkling with wit and humor. He is a true romantic and sees fairytale dreams frequently. However, he is as close to reality as anyone can be. Baffled? Don't worry, it will take some time, but you will start understanding your Cancerian man slowly and gradually. The changes in him do not mean a changing personality like the Geminis.

It is just a change of moods and he will soon be his usual self again. The basic characteristics profile will, however, remain the same. Just like a crab, he retreats into a shell when his emotions are hurt. The shell is his haven and he will remain there till he is ready to face the world again. Cancerian men may look harsh and distant at times, but inside they are very gentle, kind and affectionate. Rudeness is not one of their personality traits. It just acts a cover to hide their true, vulnerable feelings.

A Cancer man needs to feel secured of your love every now and then, so don't forget to say 'I Love You' everyday. The same goes for money too, debt makes him uneasy. He is the one who always pays his bills on time and he likes saving more than spending. He is not stingy, but he is also not extravagant. However, a Cancerian male won't sacrifice his taste and style in the name of economy. Economy for him means getting the worth of money he spent. Quality plays the utmost importance as far as he is concerned.

A Cancer guy is very conscious of his looks, his house, his car and everything that surrounds him. His clothes need to have that perfect cut, his car that perfect shine and his food that perfect taste. He is not one of those wild men who like going against the usual norms, and sophistication is something he can't live without. There is another thing a Cancer male cannot live without - talking about his Mommy Dearest! She is most likely to be there in his every second conversation.

In the other extreme, he will be totally detached from her. However, his relationship with his mother will never be casual and moderate. It has to be either of the two extremes and the first one is the most likely. At the same time, he will be the most important person in his mother's life. Make sure you pamper him as much and give him as much attention as his mother. Chivalry is in his nature, unless you give him reasons to be otherwise. A Cancerian guy may take sometime to judge you as his probable soul mate.

However, once he is sure, he will shower you with love, care, admiration and gifts. At the same time, you will be expected to meet his standards, which may be quite high. If he has decided you are the one he wants to live his life with, he will pursue you with fierce determination and make you fall in love with him. Now, we talk about the qualities of a Cancerian guy as a father. He will be totally proud of his son and fiercely protective of his daughter. He will be extremely patient with them. With a Cancerian man, there is one thing you and the kids will never be short of - Love!

Why railway budget, why not food budget?

Ever wondered why we have a railway budget? The railways are no doubt important, but so are roads, telecom, petroleum, water and many other necessities of life. Do we have separate budgets for these categories presented to Parliament every year?

The British rulers of India decided to have a separate budget for railways because they used the rail infrastructure to reach all corners of the country to facilitate control over India and the plunder of its resources.

Even after Independence, India has continued with the practice of a separate railway budget being presented to Parliament every year. Perhaps no other country in the world indulges in this ritual. In no other Parliament will you see a minister, sounding like a bad geography teacher, reading out for an hour hundreds of place names she cannot even pronounce. That does not mean that railway infrastructures in other countries have not grown or not been modernized.

Politicians, of course, will not want to do away with the practice. Where else would they get such a platform to talk about things like "aalo dum", "chai kulhads" and water bottles?

It also gives them a great opportunity to make grand announcements like "railways will not be privatized", as Mamata Banerjee did during her budget speech on Wednesday. If the private sector can be involved in something as crucial as electricity, why should the country be averse to the involvement of the private sector in the railways?

As for changes in fare and freight rates, these do not need to be presented to Parliament because they do not need its approval. They can be announced the way changes in oil prices are announced or the way telecom companies announce changes in tariff.

It's high time India started treating the railways in the same way as any other utility rather than something that is used by politicians to distribute "goodies". If we need a separate budget at all, why not have a water budget or a food budget?

She is again in love with me

She is again in love with me........ I don't know why the hell she keeps in falling for me. But the truth is she is again in love with me. If u ask me I am no way interested in her. So, Hemangi, be assured.  But one thing I have to admit is that she have some killer looks. But, still not interested.......

Now everyone, including my wife Hemangi, is curious to know who the female is. The person most eager to know about her is Hemangi, & I know it.

She is none other than an anopheles mosquito.

Harishchandrachi Factory

Harishchandrachi Factory could easily be described as a movie about madness. So intensely crazy does Phalke become in his journey to make a movie, that his friends think he has lost his senses and drag him to a mental institute.

Phalke’s passion is so contagious that he quickly manages to get his wife and sons involved, and with their support he ships himself to London to learn how to make films. He comes back, borrows more money and manages to make a full-length motion picture based on his favorite story – that of Raja Harishchandra of Ayodhya. He insists that the movies he makes should be based in India, and represents Indian culture and history.

With occasional outbursts of humor and wit, very good handling of the ‘movie making’ part and fast forwarding of appropriate parts makes it a very good watch.

Some of the scenes are brightly done -- like the scenes where Phalke tests his camera by planting a sapling and waiting for it to grow. There is another scene where his son gets injured on the sets but Phalke does not stop shooting. Later, he feels very guilty for not taking care of his son.

The overall movie is very simple and since you already know the story line you might feel that the movie might not be that interesting. Even I thought the same way, but director has done a splendid job to keep you involved in the movie.

Just Watch it………………

To, All the politicians

To,
All the politicians (from Maharashtra & some from other states)
Republic of India

I write this letter to you, with the hope that you don’t get angry that it’s not in any of the regional languages but in English, which I feel is easier for me to express my feelings.

Looking at the general public through my eyes I see no difference in you & them. I really don’t see any….

I kindly request you all to stop this disdain of the regional language going on in my city of Bombay ( I say Bombay & not Mumbai as I think it doesn’t make a difference at least to me), which I rightfully believe belongs to all of Maharashtra, which in turn belongs to India.

I think you should really stop bothering on things like what SRK is saying, to whom the city of Bombay belongs, to whom the so called Marathi manoos belongs.

If you people really need a political mileage think & act on these issues which will gain a much mileage.

Ask the Government to expedite the Kasab Trial. Ask why his trail is wasting so much of public money.
See to it that no terrorism activities ever happen in and around your beloved cities.
See that none of you & your party men are hiding in times of need; I cite the example of 26/11.

Before I conclude I want to ask you all that have you yet watched the movie Spiderman?? If not please I request you to watch it, get it translated into any of the regional languages if you feel it’s unethical to watch an English movie (I can refer you some good translators). The reason I am asking you to watch it is because in the movie is a scene in which Spiderman is advised by his uncle – “With great power, comes great responsibility”.  I think you all politicians need that advice.

Hope you will really think on what a common man has to say, on what is really going.

Expecting more optimistic events from your end,

Thanks & Regards.
